Financing at a Glance
What makes transportation financing different?
Fleet-dependent businesses face unique capital challenges: vehicle acquisition costs, unpredictable maintenance expenses, and cash flow gaps between invoice cycles. We build financing around how transportation companies actually operate.
Fleet-Focused Equipment Financing
Vehicle and equipment purchases are at the core of transportation operations. Our Equipment Financing is purpose-built for fleet acquisition. Get the trucks, vans, or specialty vehicles you need while preserving working capital for daily operations.
Cash Flow Between Invoice Cycles
Transportation companies often operate on net-30 or net-60 payment terms while fuel, maintenance, and payroll are due immediately. Working capital financing bridges that gap so operations never stop moving.
Fast Approvals for Time-Sensitive Needs
Vehicle breakdowns, contract opportunities, and staffing needs don't wait. We deliver decisions often same day so you can respond to business-critical situations in real time.
Works Across Transportation Verticals
From solo owner-operators to multi-truck freight companies, limousine fleets, medical transport providers, moving companies, and courier services, we have supported transportation businesses of all types and sizes.
What is transportation finance, and what does it cover?
Transportation finance is the set of funding tools a carrier, courier, or logistics operator uses to buy assets, cover operating gaps, and take on more freight than current cash flow would allow. In practice it covers four things: buying or replacing tractors, trailers, and vans; repairing equipment that is already on the road; covering fuel, insurance, and payroll between customer payments; and funding the working capital a new contract requires before the first invoice is paid.
The reason it gets treated as its own category is that the money in a transportation business moves on two different clocks. Equipment is a multi-year asset paid for over years. Fuel, drivers, and insurance are paid weekly while customers often pay on 30 to 60 day terms. Financing that fits one clock rarely fits the other, which is why most transportation operators end up using more than one facility at a time rather than one large loan.
We are a brokerage, not a direct lender, so our role is to match those two clocks to the right facility from our lender network instead of fitting every situation into a single product. What that looks like depends on your equipment mix, your customer concentration, and how your receivables actually age, which is why we ask for documents before discussing structure.
What transportation financial services does Custom Capital Advisors arrange?
We arrange five categories of transportation financial services, and most fleets use two or three of them together:
- Equipment financing for tractors, trailers, vans, reefer units, and shop equipment, structured against the asset itself so the equipment carries much of the credit weight. See equipment financing for how the product works.
- Invoice factoring to turn completed loads into cash without waiting out a shipper's payment terms.
- Working capital and revenue advances for fuel, insurance renewals, and payroll in a slow settlement month.
- Business lines of credit for the repair you did not plan for, drawn and repaid as needed rather than taken as a lump sum.
- Term loans for terminal space, a yard, or an acquisition, where the payback runs over years rather than weeks.
Which of these you qualify for depends on documents rather than on industry alone, and we will tell you which ones are realistic before you spend time on an application. Decisions from our lender network can come in as little as 4 hours once a complete file is in, and funding as fast as 24 hours on the shorter-duration products, though the timeline on equipment and term facilities is usually longer because there is an asset to verify.
How do you qualify for transportation business financing?
Most lenders in this space look at four things, and equipment and receivables carry more weight here than in almost any other industry.
- Time in business and revenue. Six months of operating history and consistent monthly deposits will open most short-duration options. Two or more years widens the field considerably.
- The equipment itself. Age, mileage, maintenance records, and whether the units are titled clear. A well-maintained fleet with clean titles is collateral, and collateral changes what is available to you.
- Who your customers are and how they pay. A small number of large shippers paying on predictable terms reads very differently from many small payers on inconsistent ones. Customer concentration cuts both ways and underwriters look at it closely.
- Credit and existing obligations. Existing equipment notes, factoring agreements, and any stacked advances all matter, because they tell a lender what is already claiming the same revenue.
Nobody can tell you your rate or whether you are approved before those documents are reviewed, and anyone who does is guessing. What we can do is read the file, tell you which of the five categories above are realistic, and say so plainly if the answer is none of them.
