    Why Custom Capital

When is your business ready to expand?

Expansion requires capital before it generates returns. We provide the financing to invest in growth now, without waiting months for bank approvals or pledging your existing assets as collateral.

    Business growth and expansion
    1

    Expansion Capital Without Collateral

Most of our expansion financing products are unsecured, approved based on your business's existing revenue performance, not on pledging real estate, equipment, or personal assets. Growth capital should be accessible to revenue-generating businesses, not just asset-heavy ones.

    2

Fast Enough to Act on Opportunities

Lease windows close. Talent moves on. Markets shift. We deliver decisions often within hours and fund within 24 hours of acceptance, so you can commit to expansion opportunities in real time rather than waiting on bank timelines.

    3

Flexible Use, Your Expansion, Your Way

Whether you're funding a new location, a marketing push, additional headcount, upgraded infrastructure, or entry into a new market, expansion capital has no restrictions on how you deploy it. Your growth strategy drives the decisions, not a lender's use requirements.

    4

    Structured for Your Revenue Cycle

Expansion typically takes time to generate returns. Our repayment structures, including Revenue Advances that adjust with your daily revenue, are designed to fit your cash flow while the new investment ramps up, so you're never over-leveraged during the growth period.

What can you use expansion financing for?

Each business expands differently. Capital is the common requirement, whether you need more locations, new markets, or a larger team. Buying an existing operation is another route to the same growth goal. See our business acquisition financing guide.

    Plan Your Expansion

How do you qualify for business expansion financing?

Financing business expansion comes down to three things a lender can verify: how long you have been operating, what revenue looks like over the last several months, and whether the expansion has a plan attached to it. Lenders also want to understand what lenders ask for before they review the file, so a clear use of funds and complete records make the first conversation more useful.

Time in business. Six months is a common floor for revenue-based programs. Bank and SBA-backed options generally want two years or more.

Revenue. Monthly deposits matter more than a single annual figure, because expansion capital is usually repaid out of ongoing cash flow.

Credit profile. Personal credit is one input, not the whole decision. Asset-backed and revenue-based structures weigh it less heavily than a conventional term loan.

A use of funds. A second location, a new market, a hiring plan, or an equipment purchase reads very differently to an underwriter than “growth.”

Custom Capital Advisors is not a direct lender, so we do not underwrite the file ourselves. We read it, say honestly which lenders in our network are a realistic fit, and place it where it has the best chance. Nothing is approved and no rate is set until a lender reviews the documents.

    Funding Range

How much expansion funding can a business get?

Expansion funding is sized against what the business can support, not against what the project costs, and the two are not always the same number. Across the products we place, expansion deals typically run from the low five figures for a single hire or a small build-out up to several million for a multi-location rollout or an acquisition-adjacent expansion.

Ongoing revenue. Revenue-based structures generally size to a multiple of monthly deposits.

Collateral. Equipment, receivables, inventory, or intellectual property can support more than an unsecured structure.

Structure. A line of credit sized at a ceiling you draw against behaves differently from a term loan funded in one lump. The right answer depends on whether the expansion spends all at once or in phases.

We do not quote an amount before reading the file. What we will do is say early whether the number you have in mind is realistic for your revenue.

    Sources of Capital

Where does capital for business expansion come from?

There are four broad places, and most owners only know the first:

Banks and credit unions. They offer the cheapest money, the slowest process, and the tightest file requirements. They are worth pursuing with two-plus years of clean financials and time to wait.

SBA-backed lenders. Government guarantees let a bank say yes to a file it might otherwise decline. Terms are longer, paperwork is heavier, and decisions generally take weeks rather than days.

Non-bank and specialty lenders. Revenue advances, asset-based lines, equipment finance, and factoring can move faster and look at a growing business without a long history, though they are priced higher.

Private and institutional capital. This is relevant at the larger end, generally where the expansion is closer to an acquisition than a build-out.

For more context, compare the four broad places capital can come from and consider how a second location changes the funding plan. Business expansion capital programs are not interchangeable, and the one that funds fastest is rarely the one that costs least. That tradeoff is the actual decision.
